River is a Somniari who, thanks to one ritual too many, can hear the subconscious thoughts of those around her thanks to her connection to the Fade. She's deeply attached to her brother, but she will get into things, hear things she shouldn't, and tends to cause trouble without actually meaning to in her effort to feel her way around. Sometimes literally.
